MOVE-URB:

INTERPRETATIONS ON GELIBOLU HARBOUR

[movement as a design parameter]
3rd Year Architecture Design Studio | ARCH 301

The aim of this course is to encourage the use of design ability built up during the first and second years for programmatic development and design of a urban district focusing on movements.

Gelibolu Harbour is chosen as the site, since various movements happen in this context. There students are expected to gain:

• Understanding the forces that (re) form the city and its infrastructures.
• The relationship between movement and the city in terms of user and the designer.
• An interpretation on movement as a design parameter in architectural design.
• (Re) forming the relations and structures through movement at urban context.
